Your guide

How this works Student

You build the thing. Everything else in this portal exists to get your team to a submission worth nominating.

What to do, in order

  1. Set up your profile Go →

Pick the skills you actually have. The matching engine ranks problem statements against them, so a thin profile gets you thin suggestions.

  2. Form your team Go →

Exactly 6 students, at least 1 woman - both are hard SIH rules, checked when you submit. Create a team and add members, or ask to join a public one.

  3. Record everyone's gender Go →

The female-member rule is verified from this field. A team that skips it looks eligible right up until it is blocked.

  4. Pick your problem statements Go →

Rank three. Each problem has a limited number of KCT team slots, so choosing early matters more than choosing perfectly.

  5. Talk to a real user

The single strongest signal in a submission. Someone who lives with the problem - a farmer, a nurse, a ward clerk - not a survey of your classmates.

  6. Write and submit Go →

Explain the problem in your own words, then your solution, then what makes it different. Save often; you can keep editing until you submit.

  7. Answer the reviewers Go →

If it comes back as 'changes requested', that is not a rejection - it is the fastest route to being selected. Fix it and resubmit.
